The MCB treasurer is the chair and is responsible for managing the finances and investments of our organization.

Presents bylaw amendments and resolutions to the membership
Gather articles and submit to publishers for quarterly magazine
Works with the host affiliate to make sure all areas of the annual convention are adequately prepared. This committee also collects bids from prospective convention sites.
Responsible for validating membership in MCB for the purpose of voting at the MCB convention. This committee is also responsible for overseeing the voting process.
Education & Advocacy
Responsible for educating the membership of MCB about legislative issues on the state and national level and then to advocate for or against those issues to our senators, representatives and congressmen
Presents information critical to preparing for emergency situations
Reviews fundraising opportunities and sets fundraising goals.
The Missouri Council of the Blind has established a Health Benefits program to provide financial assistance to legally blind citizens of Missouri and all members of Missouri Council of the Blind.
Member of the Month
The member of the month committee receives nominations from the membership for members to be recognized for the work they are doing for MCB. The committee judges those nominations and makes a determination based on the nomination letter submitted by an affiliate or an individual.
Reaches out to prospective members and assists affiliates with membership drives. This committee also reviews members-at-large and approves them for membership.
Helps with the MCB social media accounts and email lists. Updates MCB info line as needed. Helps with the MCB convention streaming.
Handles matters concerning the office staff, including the annual ED evaluation, job description recommendations and keeping the personnel manual up to date.
Takes requests from committees and individuals for policy considerations. They also may submit Bylaw amendment proposals to the membership.
Reaches out to the public to inform and educate the community about MCB.
Reviews applications for scholarship grants and makes sure that the grants are awarded to the qualified applicants.
Reviews the grant applications that are made for special needs such as assistance with paying rent, utilities or any other circumstance deemed to be a special situation.

State Resource Council
Responsible for creating and implementing strategic planning for MCB
Manages the enormous task of reviewing applications to the summer camp program, assigning cabins and tables for the meals.
Wolfner Advisory Council
Represents MCB at all meetings of Wolfner and keeps the membership updated on what is going on with Wolfner
Youth Services and Youth Camp
Oversees the application process. Helps parents buy educational and adaptive equipment for blind children.
