Hello all

To follow the proceedings of the International Council on English Braille (ICEB) in South Africa that begins Sunday, May 6th, you have several options:

The developer of the audio streaming site for the ICEB General Assembly, Hanif Kruger, can be reached at the following e-mail address so that anyone who has any issues or suggestions concerning the site, can contact him directly. The address is:

There is no stopping Hanif. He has now also set up a Twitter account for instant communication by listeners during and after ICEB General Assembly broadcasts. The Twitter id is ICEB2012. Hanif will also use this account to disseminate information about how to go about listening and of upcoming items.

This conference should have very interesting presentations.

At this Fifth General Assembly we are joined by observers from Botswana and Zimbabwe. Jean Obi from Nigeria worked with Ghana to establish their braille authority. Christo de Klerk and others from South Africa have worked with braille leaders in Namibia. We will endeavour to pull together these and other strands looking for practical assistance we could give.
