Support Division is seeking candidates for a Social Services Manager, Band 2
position to serve as the Assistant Deputy Director for Rehabilitation Services

will be based in Jefferson City.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Responsibilities include</SPAN><SPAN
style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">:<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>manage and direct program activities
(e.g. Vocational Rehabilitation, State Independent Living, Independent Living
for Older Blind) provided from seven district offices based throughout the State
of Missouri; evaluate effectiveness and quality of services delivered and make
recommendations for improvement.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Assist the Deputy Director in the development of state plan, policies and
procedures for the administration of services to the blind and visually impaired
persons; interpret state and federal laws, regulations and policies.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Assist in the preparation of required
responses to state and federal audits and monitoring; supervise the District
Supervisors; oversee staff and personnel in the district offices including
meeting training needs; act on behalf of the Deputy Director at meetings and in

Sociology, Social Work, Family and Child Development, Human Services,
Counseling, Public or Business or Health Care Administration, Nursing, Physical
Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Nutrition or a closely related
field; <SPAN class=minunder><U>and Four or more years</U></SPAN> of professional
experience in protective services for children; self-sufficiency/income
maintenance; child support; in-home services; programs for blind or visually
impaired persons; Medicaid or other health insurance programs; nursing; health
care or health delivery system; pharmacy or pharmacology; treatment and
education of adjudicated juveniles; juvenile delinquency prevention programs; or
resource, financial or legal investigations. <SPAN
class=minitalic>Additional qualifying experience may
substitute year-for-year for deficiencies in the required
education. Earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or
university in the specified areas may substitute year-for-year for a
maximum of two years of the required experience at a rate of 24 earned credit
