hearings of interest are scheduled for next week.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>One that is not yet on<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>the schedule, but which may be held is
on <B>HB1918</B> which would cap the number of personal care attendant (PCA)
services.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>There has been some talk
that the bill may be heard Wednesday or Thursday.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>It may be a substitute bill that is
introduced, which would cap PCA services at 100 hours per month, rather than the
60 hour per month limit in the current bill.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>If so, this would still provide an
average of only 25 hours a week -- not meeting the needs of Missourians who
require more hours.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The bill is
assigned to the House Health Care Policy Committee.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We will issue a posting as soon
as <SPAN class=349475719-13022010>it's clear </SPAN>whether a hearing
will be scheduled.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>
