<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Recently I heard from a person who spoke to a blind
professional about increasing the odds of getting a job as a blind person. Let
me ask you and get your opinion....</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>If you are interviewing and have a skepital
would-be employer, would you be willing to provide the employer a letter of
resignation (in advance, to be handed in whenever they felt it was necessary) in
order to increase your odds of getting hired? The letter would basically say
that "I resign effective immediately due to the fact that I am unable to
successfully do my job. I will not pursue legal action."</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>This blind professional said that the letter would
tell the employer that, as a blind person, you would be willing to have them
submit this letter if you fail to do your job. It would effectively remove any
risk with hiring a blind person. He feels that it would take the fear out of
them dealing with someone who may not be able to do the job and having to fire
them. He feels it would also remove the threat of a lawsuit if they needed to
fire that person for whatever reason, with performance being key.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Opinions... Do you agree or disagree? Would you
hand in such a letter to get a job?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks for your feedback!</FONT></DIV>
