Beattie - It is my sad <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>duty to inform you that our common loved one passed away
this morning at <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>2:15 AM at INOVA Alexandria Hospital. She passed
peacefully with Kirsten <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>and me beside her. At this time, we are in the
process of planning her <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>funeral/memorial arrangements. We will be certain
to notify you when that <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>is done.<o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>We remain eternally appreciative for the many
expressions of love to our <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>family during this difficult time as we all remember
this giant of a woman <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>who accomplished so much for so many other people during
her 73 years on <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>this Earth. She also leaves behind the wonderful
woman who became my wife, <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>two grandchildren (Isaac and Phyllis), four sisters, a
host of other <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>relatives, and many friends and colleagues who have
worked with her to make <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>this world a better place - particularly for those with
low vision or who <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>are blind.<o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></P>
<P class=MsoPlainText>We continue to cherish and solicit your prayers during
these days to come.<o:p></o:p></P>
