<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I recall that a few months ago, we were talking about the
device called the Script Talk machine that reads prescription labels. According
to the July issue of Talking Book Topics Walgreens pharmacies are supplying
blind and visually impaired customers with a free Scrip Talk machine that reads
pre-printed information on medicine containers. It reads the dose instructions,
patient information, side effects, refill information and prescribing
physician's name through a sensor that the walgreens pharmacis places on the
container. The device is about the size of a portable CD player. It runs on
double a batteries or an electric adaptor. so if you are using Walgreens for
prescriptions, you might want to contact your pharmacy to find out about this.
