An update to the posting on SB71 – while
the bill includes the home access modification tax credit, it also includes a
House amendment to permanently lower the individual income tax rate with an estimated
loss of revenue to the state of over $463 in FY2010. The bill is likely to have
trouble in the Senate.

The appropriation bills are still in budget conference
committee to work out differences between the House and Senate versions. The
committee will meet throughout next week starting on Monday. In addition to the
"regular" budget bills, HB21 appropriates federal stimulus funds to the various
departments. HB21 passed the House and will have a hearing Monday in the Senate
Appropriations Committee.
