Good Morning Listers,
 
Just a note to introduce myself as a new (well, guess I should say
returning) list member.
 
I've been a member of ACB since the early 80's and have served in a variety
of capacities on the board of the Iowa Council of the United Blind.  I had
the pleasure of attending an MCB convention a number of years ago and was
impressed not only by your turnout but by the active role which so many of
your members take.  I find the Chronicle to be a terrific, informative
publication.  i especially reading local chapter news.  Though many of your
names are not familiar, it does my heart good to see that so many
Missourians are active in advocacy and education concerning blindness.  You
obviously do a great job of socializing, which in my mind is critical to the
success of our organization.
 
I work for the University of Iowa coordinating projects which serve persons
with developmental disabilities.  I enjoy all kinds of music, particularly
big band and traditional jazz.  Some of my other hobbies are hiking,
dancing, and following the Cardinals.
 
I look forward to meeting many of you in Phoenix.
