[Missouri-l] Friends Of Wolfner Meeting

Please join us at the Friends of Wolfner Library annual membership meeting
on April 24, 2010.

Meeting time:  

12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Doors open at 11:45 a.m.

 

Our keynote speaker this year is Charlotte Hubbard, 

Missouri author and Wolfner Library volunteer.

Charlotte Hubbard has many years of publication experience in several
genres. For many years she wrote short stories which appeared in widely
distributed magazines. Over the recent past she has switched to writing
historical fiction and westerns. Currently she is volunteering at Wolfner
Library as a reader of her own books. Her most recent book, A Patchwork
Family, is a story about a family who moved from Missouri to the Kansas
plains to farm, raise Morgan horses and to serve as a way station on a
stagecoach line. The story reveals life in such early settlements
immediately after the Civil War. Her publicity states that if you like works
like The Little House series, you will like her stories. The meeting will
also include special recognition for Wolfner Library staff and a Friends of
Wolfner business meeting. The Board of Directors will meet immediately
following the membership meeting.

When you arrive, register at the Members table in the lobby. It will be
staffed between 11:30 a.m. and 12:25 p.m.  Although paying membership dues
in advance of this meeting is preferred, you can pay your annual membership
dues when you register at the meeting. Registering also gets your name in
the drawing for prizes.
