Dear Tom,
Are you suggesting lone affiliates meet once a month (as always) and then
have a district comprised of three to four affiliates, and have a
representative from, for example, to form districts statewide? That would streamline
the Board of Directors considerably. Affiliates would need to convene
twice monthly, once for their own meetings, and then again another time with a
group of affiliates.
What I wonder is: What about those affiliates that are located in rural
areas? I do not know, but would it be possible for have, for example, four
rural affiliates meet once a month and have a district Board member? It
would be easy in a large city because we are blessed with public and
paratransportation, but what about the small communities?
However, Kansas City has only two affiliates in its metro area. Would the
members from St. Joseph and Sedalia affiliates need to become a part of
Kansas City's district?
Do I understand you correctly?
I do not know the answer to this.
Scott
