[Missouri-l] One More Thing

Now that I am a little more alert and awake, I wish to add one more thing  
about inclusion of blind and low vision students in the public school  
system.  That is, if there is a lone blind student in one county where  there 
appears to be no other alternative than to send him or her to a school for  the 
blind, my comment is many school systems (granted, not all) have itinerate  
teachers who go from school to school to ensure that child is given fair  
opportunity to learn necessary skills to cope within a society that is geared 
 for those who have vision, the Americans with Disabilities Act  
notwithstanding.  I could go on and on, but, frankly, even though the  public school 
system I attended was difficult and demanding, I would not have  traded my 
experience there for the world.
