COAT is glad to note the success of our outreach campaign this past year. We now have 313 affiliate members -- 122 national organizations and 191 state/local groups, and ten International Friends! The COAT website, http://www.coataccess.org garners 100's of readers for every news item, including over 2,000 viewers of our story on "U.S. Senate Passes S.3304 by Unanimous Consent!" at http://www.coataccess.org/node/9777. Twitter followers of @coataccess now number over 860 individuals and we have over 900 members for our Facebook group. Then, there are over 500 individuals who receive this regular COAT News Update and there's 49 individuals learning & talking about COAT via the LinkedIn.com COAT group. It's terrific to know that our Community of Interested Persons is growing and that so many people care about accessible telecommunications and technology and what we are doing!
Thank You to every affiliate or colleague who passed along or copied any of the COAT stories, news, items, or photos onto their website, blog, or into their print newsletters. You are making sure that everyone knows how important accessible technology is! You are the VIPs who make it happen!
Thank you again also to everyone who responded to the earlier summer COAT Action Alerts on actions in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate. We are almost there! We expect the President to sign a bill later this year! You won't miss that news, guaranteed!
