The bookstores are filled with long portrayals  of what it was like to serve 
in the Vietnam war. Those of us at home saw the war in all its raw and 
bloody detail each night on the evening news. For the first time, we lived 
through and experienced  war in a  new way. How did that affect those back 
home? What was it like to be the wife of a man serving there? How did it 
affect her  hopes and dreams?What does a woman think life will be like when 
her husband returns?  Will he be anything like the man she married? What 
adjustments will they both have to make? Is it best to talk about the 
experience and then go on with your life or too much to ask? How does a 
family put it behind them? Should they?
Rosalie Turner is the wife of a man who served in the Vietnam war. She 
believes the voices of wives weren't heard nearly enough. In her novel, 
Sisters of Valor, she addresses  the subject of life back home for the 
courageous women left behind.
The show can be heard beginning tomorrow morning at 1 hour UTC or tonight at
