Recently, Senator John Kerry (D-MA) introduced S.841, The
Pedestrian Safety
Enhancement Act of 2009. This is a companion bill to H.R.734.
Please call your Senators to ask him-her to cosponsor. This is
another
positive move as the dialogue surrounding the dangers of hybrid
vehicles has
spread to the Senate.
Having said this, there are now 112 cosponsors of the House bill.
Please
continue calling your members to ask for cosponsorship. Your
members will be
back in their districts around Memorial Day so this is an
opportune time to
schedule appointments to meet with them during this district work
period.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or
concerns. The list
of cosponsors for the Senate bill and new cosponsors for the
House bill are
below.
Best Regards,
Eric
