Hello Lowell,
I would like to suggest that MCB create a P.C.A. and send it to all radio stations and news papers in the communities mentioned below. This would be great publicity for MCB but also show the good will of Schnucks
Also, in the future people will associate the name MCB with MCB thrift stores.
Happy Holidays,
Michael Keller

Dear Members and Friends of the Missouri Council of the Blind,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! As we head into 2010 we want to inform you of an exciting new opportunity for you to help the Missouri Council of the Blind. MCB is participating in a program of collaboration with Schnucks grocery stores. If you live in the St. Louis, Washington, Jefferson City, Columbia or Cape Girardeau*Missouri area you can help MCB to bring in revenue simply by shopping at the Schnucks Store in your town.
This free program works off of a scannable card that designates MCB as the recipient charity of choice for you. It does not increase the cost of your groceries. The cards are available at the MCB office at no charge. We would love to mail one out to you so that we can begin receiving the benefits. It is simple and costs you nothing. With your participation, MCB receives the following dollar benefits depending on your monthly grocery purchases:
Buy Per Month MCB Recieves.
$1.00 to $300.00 1%
$301.00 to $600.00 2%
$601.00 to $999.00 3%
Please let us know if you would consider helping us by purchasing groceries as you normally would at a Schnucks near you. Again, there is no cost to you and there is no increase in grocery prices. Call: 314-832-7172 or email: MoBlind at MoBlind.Org to request your card to participate in this free program. You need not be a member of MCB to participate in this program, only a desire to assist MCB with maintaining the programs that serve the blind community of Missouri. Each time you check out at Schnucks with your grocery purchases, simply present the MCB card for swiping and at the end of the month Schnucks will deposit the correct amount to MCB.
We hope you can help MCB in securing extra financial support through this charitable program offered by Schnucks..
Sincerely
Lowell D. Newsom
Director Of Development
*Note: Cards for the Schnuck's stores in Cape Girardeau differ in looks than all the other Schnucks location store cards. If you shop at Schnucks in Cape Girardeau please let us know this when you request a card. Though different in looks, if you present your Cape Girardeau Schnucks card at any other Schnucks location it will read and post correctly to MCB
