[Missouri-l] memorial for Jeanie McLaughlin

Phyllis,

Linda Burris said last night during my conversation with her that 
George said there would be no funeral or memorial service.
You are exactly right in that they were two very special people.
George and Jean were married for more than 30 years, and Jean served 
as president of the Board of Directors on the Ozark Independent 
Living (OIL) Board.
She took over as president after Bill Burris died.
She also served a number of years as her affiliate's president and 
Board rep as well as her affiliate's legislative rep.
She loved MCB and enjoyed serving wherever she could.
Jean had a quiet humor about her and I would agree with you that she 
will be greatly missed.
We had a lot of fun with her when my wife and I travled with Bill and 
Linda Burris to the MCB Board meetings and conventions.
Those who really knew her appreciated her unselfish dedication.
I will let you and others know whether there will be a memorial fund.
