I am not sure if the term "tiny tech" is a Brian Charlson invention or
not. Nevertheless, he used it in a recent conversation to describe the
range of devices that a lot of us use that contain chips (often) but are
not multi-purpose computers or notetakers. These are devices like
color identifiers, clocks, calculators, scales and so on. We want you
to come and tell us about your experiences with these devices. Which
are good and which are not. Perhaps you can also tell a budding
entrepreneur what device he or she should build for us next. What
device do you most long for that you can't find. There are microwave
ovens, thermometers, thermostats, tape measures, remote controls and
many more. What games have you found, mainstream or otherwise, that
work for us as blind people? Please join us a little before nine this
evening, April 21st 2009, to check out your mike and help us celebrate
our tiny tech expo. Now here are some instructions on how to use your
big, bad computer to find us in the Politics Room.

Using a web browser, go to
http://www.conference321.com/masteradmin/room.asp?id=rs510b693fb11f to
enter the Politics Room.

There you must either download a small application if this is your first
time there, or go on to enter the room. The next screen has a spot for
you to input your real name and a password. Ignore the password. Just
enter your name and press enter.

The new room looks a lot different from the old one. Please take some
time and explore particularly the help menu and its accessibility
submenu.

If you cannot join us tonight, please listen starting next Monday at
8:00 p.m. eastern to hear this program on the mainstream channel of
ACBRADIO.
