[Missouri-l] Proposed Kansas City Metro Bus Changes

During today's PCB meeting, we discussed the changes to (Kansas City) Metro 
 bus service.  Here are the latest, per the KCATA website:
 
Proposed Metro Service Reductions  
Weekday service 
MAX would provide service every 10 minutes  during morning and afternoon 
rush hours. 
#24-Independence would provide  service every 15 minutes during rush hours 
and the daytime, every 60 minutes at  night. 
#25-Troost would provide service south of 83rd Street to 89th &  Hillcrest 
every 30 minutes during rush hours on weekdays. There would be no  change to 
service north of 83rd. 
#27-27th Street would provide service every  60 minutes during midday 
instead of every 30 minutes. 
#30-Northeast would  provide service every 60 minutes during midday instead 
of every 30 minutes. The  last trip at night would leave 10th & Main at 
10:40 p.m. 
#35-35th Street  would not provide night service. 
#38-Meadowbrook would not provide midday  service. 
#39-39th Street would provide service every 15 minutes in the  morning and 
afternoon rush hours and every 20 minutes in the midday. No trips  would go 
to the Plaza, and the east end of the route would use the current night  
route throughout the day. 
#51-Ward Parkway would provide service every 20  minutes in the morning and 
afternoon rush hours, every 45 minutes in the  midday.  Midday trips to 
Ward Parkway would occur every 90 minutes.  
#55-Rockhill will reduce the number of trips to three in the morning rush  
hour and three in the afternoon rush hour. 
#57-South Oak will offer hourly  service south of the Plaza during midday. 
#108-Indiana will use a small bus.  
#123-23rd Street would provide hourly service throughout the day and  
evening. 
#126-E. 5th Street would not provide midday service.  
#136-Boardwalk/Antioch Connector will provide service every two hours.  
#137-Metro North/Antioch Connector will provide service every two hours.  
#142-North Oak would provide service every 60 minutes during midday.  
#155-55th Street would provide hourly service throughout the day.  
#156-Red Bridge would not provide night service. 
#163-63rd Street would  not provide night service. 
#237-Gladstone Circulator will provide service  from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 
#243-Antioch-Barry Road Connector will provide  service every two hours. 
#257-Santa Fe Hills would be discontinued.  Customers may use #298-SKC 
MetroFlex as an alternative. 
#258-Longview  Connector would be discontinued. #296-Bannister/Hillcrest 
MetroFlex would  provide service to Longview Community College. 
Saturday Service 
#24-Independence would provide hourly service  at night. 
#25-Troost would provide hourly service to 89th & Hillcrest.  There would 
be no change to service north of 83rd. 
#30-Northeast would  provide hourly service throughout the day and in the 
evening. The last trip at  night would leave 10th & Main at 10:40 p.m. 
#39-39th Street would  provide hourly service at night. No trips would go 
to the Plaza, and the east  end of the route would use the current night 
route throughout the day.  
#51-Ward Parkway would provide service every 30 minutes between downtown 
and  the Plaza.  There would be no service on #51 south of the Plaza to 88th  
& State Line on Saturdays. 
#57-South Oak would provide service every 30  minutes between downtown and 
the Plaza. Buses will travel south of the Plaza  only during midday. 
#126-E. 5th Street’s Saturday service would be  discontinued. 
#136-Boardwalk/Antioch Connector’s Saturday service would be  discontinued. 
#137-Metro North/Antioch Connector’s Saturday service would be  
discontinued. 
#163-63rd Street would no longer offer service after 8 p.m.  
#237-Gladstone Circulator’s Saturday service would be discontinued.  
#243-Antioch-Barry Road Connector will provide service every two hours.  
#251-TMC Lakewood Connector’s Saturday service would be discontinued.  
#257-Santa Fe Hills would be discontinued. 
#298-SKC MetroFlex’s Saturday  service would be discontinued. 
Sunday & Holiday Service 
#25-Troost would provide hourly  trips to 89th & Hillcrest, and no longer 
travel to 89th & Flora. There  would be no change to service north of 83rd. 
#30-Northeast will end service  at 10 p.m. instead of midnight. 
#39-39th Street would provide hourly service  at night. 
#51-Ward Parkway would provide service every 60 minutes between  downtown 
and the Plaza.  There would be no service on #51 south of the  Plaza to 88th 
& S tate Line on Sundays. 
#57-South Oak will not provide  service south of the Plaza and will not 
provide night service. 
#163-63rd  Street would no longer offer service after 8 p.m.
