Well, we did it! We successfully manned the booth at the Pet Expo where nearly ten thousand people participated. Talk about orderly chaos! I'm sure all of us had migraines at the end of the day from all the dogs barking. My heart felt thanks go out to Julie Chinn, Anne Murphy and John Herzberg who sat at the booth with me and also to the helpers behind the scenes; my wife, Julie's mom and her husband, and Anne's husband Jim. we couldn't have done it without you guys. I also want to thank the folks who offered to help if they could have gotten a ride. I know how hard that can be some times and I know the thought was definitely there. Being a booth dealing with a situation that has limited public interest, I thought we did rather well. The expo lasted from ten A/M to 6 P/M and we gave out bios on Missouri Guide Dog Users as well as a statement about MCB. We also made a little money on a raffle basket of doggie goodies. At least, more people know we're out there now and whether we do it or not again next year remains to be seen. Those of you in Missouri Guide Dog Users who receive email, please let the ones that don't know that the expo went well. As I said in our breakfast meeting, if anyone wants to do some PR like this for MGDU in their town or city please let me know so we can work together to make it a success. Thanks again and keep those tails waggin.

Steve
