Denny, the problem of transportation doesn't rest soley on your sholders. It
existed long before you or I, and most of the members of Mcb were born. The
main reason I posted that message was to get feedback as to how we could
find a solution to the problem. If I lived in an area where transportation
was made available to other places and I didn't have access to it I would
certainly be expressive in my objections. I hope that someone in those less
populated areas will respond with some posative suggestions.

Bunny,

I'm sure open for suggestions on how the transportation
situation can be resolved. I agree, it is a problem for which I have no
good answer, but I am certainly willing to listen to any suggestions
somebody might have on how to solve the problem.

In all fairness I don't believe that the press conference on the capitol
building steps this morning was meant to be a secret. It was a last minute
decision and there simply wasn't enough time to arange for transportation.
However, transportation is a huge problem. It really irritates me that in
most cases, excluding the disabilities ralley on April 4th, when
transportation is provided it is only made available to the highway 70
coridor. This leaves the rest of the state stranded. Argument has it that
there are many more people in that area. Could that be true because people
in Poplar Bluff, Sikeston, Cape Girardeau and other towns in that area are
not given the opportunity to attend events they should? What about the
people in Joplin, Springfield and Lebanon?

No, I don't have a solution but, I think we should find one. I support all
of Missouri and not just a portion of it. So, all of you people who are left
out of the transportation pool, put your thinking capes and help find that
solution to this huge problem.
