Hi Folks:

I just got off the phone from about a 15-minute conversation with Senator Lembke 
about the Medicaid issue.  Here is his advice to us.

1.  Keep contacting and talking with the members of the Conference committee.

2.  Put their prior votes to the back of our minds and recognize this is a new 
situation.  There has already been a lot of horse trading and there will be lots 
more during committee deliberations.  We only need $8.5 million, and that's 
possible to get.

3.  Focus on members who traditionally have helped the blind and others with 
physical disabilities.  These would include people like Rick Stream as an 
example.  He and others are reachable.  This is definitely not the time to get 
discouraged.
