Sorry but I forgot to add that all the other offices called were a little weary to talk to me and really were non-committal basically I THINK because I am not a constituent.  So we really need to have constitutents calling, I think that would be of great help.

Hi Chris and all:I just got off the phone with Senator Victor Callahan's aid, Tom Hoppe.He couldn't tell me about the senators stance on HB2011 but when I explained it was the bill which passed the houseand would take away from blind pensioners medicaid.  This will put many people in a position to make life and death decisions.At this point tom said Oh no, Sen Callahan is 100% against that bill! We have Callahan as an ally Thanks,Linda Hager

Hi Everybody:

Has everybody on this committee signed the Medicaid petition?  This is very 
important and if you have not done so yet, please do it today.  If you are 
having problems signing it, call us at the office and we can help you.

Also, I'm not seeing reports from you of your contacts with Senate 
appropriations.  How's it going with your calls to them.  What are they saying 
and what are your impressions of what they may not be saying.

I cannot stress to you how critical this week is in the process.  Decisions are 
being made right now that, if negative toward the Medicaid issue, may be 
irreversible down the road.

Personally, I have found Chairman Schaefer and his office unresponsive on the 
issue so far.  I've written and called with no response from email, and an offer 
to take a message through the phone and the suggestion that I email.  This is 
concerning.

Thanks and please use this list to keep us all informed and working together on 
the issue.
