[Education and Welfare] Idea for Next Year:

I understand where you're coming from, and it's important to give yourself
enough time between each appointment to both have a lot of time with each
legislator, and to get from one part of the building to the other. I think
it's important, though, to have members see their legislators from their
region. One way to make the trip less stressful, as DeAnna suggested to me
previously, is to look at the office locations of the legislators you're
assigned to see, and make the appointments on the first floor near each
other in time, and then the second floor, etc. Then members wouldn't have
to go up and down floors repeatedly to visit with the legislators, and it
would be less tiring. Reps and Senators seem to listen a bit more when they
know you're from their area.

Regards,

Gretchen

Subject: [Education and Welfare] Idea for Next Year:

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to throw this idea out for next year. I've been being
drilled at work to increase efficiencies and eliminate waste so this idea I
hope will do both and make our visits to the reps more effective.

I think that next year we should assign reps by location. Meaning that we
send our reps to certain sections of the building so they won't have to
worry about running from the 1st floor to the 4th floor to make an
appointment. This will allow us to spend more time talking about the issues
face to face with reps and less time running around trying to find the next
room.

So, for example we could have one team do rooms 100-150, another do 150-200
etc.

Thanks,

Elton Thomas
