[Education and Welfare] Braille Bills

Dear Friends,

I have been asked by Laura DeVries, president of the Braille Revival League,
to chair a committee that would help with Braille legislation.  

I would like to have any information on the bills that concern Braille that
were submitted last year.  Will any of those be submitted this year, and who
will submit them?

As you may know, the 2012 legislature will start around the beginning of
January.  There are bills already being submitted for consideration.  Only a
small percentage of the total bills submitted will pass and become law.  I
think it is imperative that we start working on these bills now.
