I use google voice. I also use the zone's sms gateway sometimes. I have an
accessible phone but sometimes its just easier to type out text messages on
my keyboard. for the zonebbs sms gateway you need an account on there but
its easy to sign up. and they offer boards and stuff. some people there can
be kinda well downright mean but they have an ignore system.
the addresses for these things are

Subject: ATI A Couple of Nifty Things
Hi all. I've come acrross a couple of things online that might come in
handy. The first is a service called Sly Dial. This service allows you to
call a number:
267-759-3425
and leave someone a message on their phone without ringing their phone. If
someone is working or in a meeting, or maybe sleeping, you can go directly
to a person's mobile voice mail. I've noticed that it rings with a no
number for maybe a second, but in the message envelope your number will be
there. There is a paid version that is supposed to be inexpensive and add
free and maybe it doesn't do that. It hasn't seememd to be a problem for
anyone though.
The next is:

This is a free web texting service. You can use this to text from your
computer if texting isn't free for you, or just a real pain. This service
also has a paid version.
There is also a cellular LD service for dialing internationally for as low
as 5 cents a minute on your mobile phone. I have had no reason to try this,
but you can find it from the Joopz or Slydial websites.
These are all a part of what is called a mobile sphere. Enjoy and have a
good week.
